Disch-Falk Field was completed in time for the 1975 season, and it opened on February 17, 1975, when the eventual national champion Longhorns swept a twinbill from St. Mary's by scores of 4-0 and 11-0. Disch-Falk Field, named for two former Longhorns coaches — the late Billy Disch and the late Bibb Falk — was authorized in 1973 when it became apparent that the main campus of The University needed the land occupied by Clark Field. The seating capacity of the main chairback area in the concrete stands is 4,849, while 1,800 can be added in the bleachers down the right-field line (total capacity: 6,649).

The uniforms worn by the Longhorns will usually be home whites with burnt orange trim. There will be occasions when Texas will wear batting practice orange. The Horns' uniforms and shoes are supplied by Nike as per The University's contract agreement.

The game ball used by the Longhorns is the Rawlings R-1 NCAA, the official ball of the Big 12 Conference and the NCAA.
