Longhorn Network set to re-broadcast five Volleyball matches this Sunday

AUSTIN, Texas - Longhorn Network will broadcast a slate of Texas Volleyball matches from the 2012 national championship season this Sunday (Dec. 23). Beginning at 1 p.m. Central Time, LHN will show four home matches (Minnesota from 1 to 3 p.m., Iowa State from 3 to 5 p.m., Kansas State from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and Texas Tech from 6:30 to 8 p.m.) before a re-broadcast of the national championship match against Oregon from 8 to 9:30 p.m. The Longhorns earned their third national title in women's volleyball (second NCAA title) with the 3-0 sweep of the Oregon Ducks on Dec. 15 in Louisville, Ky. Head coach Jerritt Elliott, who was named the 2012 AVCA Division I National Coach of the Year, guided a squad that featured four All-Americans (Bailey Webster, Haley Eckerman, Khat Bell and Sha'Dare McNeal) and finished with a 29-4 overall record. UT went 15-1 in Big 12 play to earn the conference title.
