Hey Y’all! WOW, what a week in Texas Volleyball!! I want to say a BIG thank you to all the fans who came out to support us last week as we took on UCLA and Iowa State at Gregory Gym in the NCAA Austin Regional! Y’all are the best fans anyone can ask for, and you have made our 2008 season so memorable! Going into the NCAA Regional, we knew it was going to be a battle, each and every point. It was an exciting tournament – we had two Big 12 teams, Texas and Iowa State, against two Pac-10 teams, UCLA and Oregon. The night turned out to be a great showing for the Big 12, as Iowa State beat Oregon in a five-set thriller, and we won a four-set match over a very good UCLA team. The next night, we took on Iowa State in the NCAA Regional finals. Saturday night marked the first time Texas Volleyball had made it to the Final Four since joining the Big 12 Conference. We are incredibly excited for the opportunity ahead this week, and we look forward to representing Texas in Omaha against the Stanford Cardinal. The match will air on Thursday night at 6 p.m. Central on ESPNU! Hope everyone has an amazing holiday season, and thanks again for all of your support!! Hook ’Em!
