The Horns are the No. 9 seed in the 2010 NCAA Tournament and are winners of their last 17 matches ... UT is seeded in the Austin Region along with No. 1 Florida, No. 8 Illinois and No. 16 Purdue ...Texas is making its 27th tourney appearance which ties for seventh-best nationally ... The Horns own a 60-25 all-time mark in the tourney and have qualified for their fifth-straight regional and their 23rd all-time.

UT ranks atop the Big 12 and ranks No. 4 in the nation with its .307 team hitting percentage ... UT ranks No. 15 in the NCAA in kills with 14.31 kills per-set ... junior middle blocker Rachael Adams ranks No. 1 nationally with her .447 hitting percentage, while senior middle blocker Jennifer Doris holds the No. 5 spot with her .424 attack mark.
IN THE NCAA TOURNEY:
vs. No. 9 UCLA (Dec. 4)
Texas used a 17-kill performance by senior All-America outside hitter Juliann Faucette and freshman setter Hannah Allison returned from injury to steady the lineup as UT downed No. 9 UCLA, 3-1 (25-23, 20-25, 25-18, 25-24) in the NCAA Second Round ... Faucette headlined the Texas attack with 17 kills on .256 hitting and added six digs and a pair of solo blocks ... junior middle blocker Rachael Adams added 12 kills and hit .611 in the win, while junior outside hitter Amber Roberson connected for 10 kills and collected 11 digs ... Allison returned to the lineup in the third set with the Horns trailing 4-0 and rallied UT to victory with 24 assists and eight digs.
vs. UTSA (Dec. 3)
Texas swept UTSA (25-11, 25-18, 25-15) in first round action ... junior middle blocker Rachael Adams highlighted the UT with 12 kills on .588 hitting as the Horns posted a .395 team attack mark ... senior outside hitter Juliann Faucette connected for 11 kills in the win and added five digs and five blocks.
HORNS CLAIM BIG 12 HONORS
Texas fared well in the 2010 Big 12 Conference awards with senior outside hitter Juliann Faucette earning Player of the Year honors and head coach Jerritt Elliott earning co-Coach of the Year accolades ... THE SENIOR CLASS
This year's senior class has led Texas to a 110-15 mark in their four seasons, while posting a 74-6 record in Big 12 play ... the class has led the Horns to a pair of NCAA Regional Finals, one NCAA Semifinal, one NCAA Championship match and three straight Big 12 Conference titles ... the senior class is the winningest class in the history of UT Volleyball with its .880career winning percentage.
ALLISON RETURNS
Freshman Hannah Allison returned to action on Dec. 3 vs. UTSA after missing 12 matches with an ankle injury ... she saw spot duty against UTSA, but was inserted into the lineup during the third set of the UCLA match with UT trailing 4-0 ... she paced the comeback and led UT to a 3-1 win with 24 assists, eight digs and one block.
TEXAS IN THE NCAA STATS
In the most recent edition of the NCAA stats (Dec. 6) the Longhorns rank No. 4 nationally with their .307 team hitting percentage ... UT also ranks 31st in the NCAA with 2.53 blocks and 15th with 14.31 kills per-set ... junior middle blocker Rachael Adams ranks No. 1 nationally with her .447 hitting percentage ... senior middle blocker Jennifer Doris ranks No. 5 nationally with her .424 hitting percentage.
HORNS NOTCH 25TH WIN
Head coach Jerritt Elliott and the Longhorns are 25-5 on the year and have captured their seventh-straight season with 24 or more victories ... this season marks the 19th time in program history that UT has recorded at least 25 wins.
KOCHER BACK AT THE HELM
Junior setter Michelle Kocher's career at Texas has been a self-described rollercoaster and she has led UT to a 14-0 record since taking over for an injured Hannah Allison on Oct. 16 ... since taking the reins, Kocher has led the Horns to a .344 team hitting percentage and is averaging 13.10 assists and 2.23 digs per-set ... Kocher was a full-time starter in 2008 and won Big 12 Freshman of the Year honors en route to leading Texas to the NCAA Semifinals and joined the lineup in UT's 6-2 system midseason in 2009 to help the Horns to the NCAA Finals ... as a starter, Kocher owns a career record of 49-4 and UT has not lost a match she has started since the 2008 NCAA Semifinals.
STREAKING HORNS
Texas is currently riding its longest winning streak of the season with its 17-match run ... the Horns are riding a 25-match home winning streak against Big 12 Conference foes, which dates back to Nov. 1, 2008.
WINNING WELL
