In rotation: What Green Bay means to me

Every week throughout the 2004 season, the Texas volleyball team will all respond to a question posed to them by TexasSports.com.

With Monday being the first day back to practice for the Texas Volleyball team after gutting out a 3-1 victory over Michigan in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday, Dec. 4 at Gregory Gym, there was a lot of talk about the team's upcoming trip to Green Bay, Wisc., where the team will take on sixth-ranked Stanford on Friday, Nov. 10 at 5 p.m.

Freshman Jen Christian documented what her teammates' first thoughts were when they found out they were headed to Green Bay — home of the the Frozen Tundra ... not exactly a normal, everyday element in their lives, as most of the team is from the Southern half of the country. But one thing, or rather one person, associated with the Frozen Tundra seemed to be first and foremost in the Longhorns' minds as they got ready for the trip north.

Jen Christian: What is the first thing you think of when you think of Green Bay?

Jenny Andrew: Cold and snow

Sarah Holloway: Cheeseheads

Mira Topic: Snow and cold

Bethany Howden: (Green Bay Packers quarterback) Brett Favre

Lauren Galler: Brett Favre

Alyson Jennings: Brett Favre

Lauren Sledge: Brett Favre

Michelle Moriarty: The love of my life, Brett Favre.

Leticia Armstrong: The Green Bay Packers

Jessica Curtis: Cold

Dariam Acevedo: The football team

Graduate Assistant Trainer, Kristen Thompson: Home, my friends from Green Bay

Brandy Magee: Us advancing to the Final Four — and that it's somewhere I wouldn't want to live.

Jen Christian: I think of Brett Favre, very, very, cold snowy weather, football helmets, and us advancing to the Final Four. Like Brandy said.

Manager and Camp Director, Jesse Sultzer: Not Brett Favre. The cheeseheads, Vince Lombardi, the Packers and the Ice Bowl.
