TEXAS IN THE NCAA TOURNEY
The Horns enter the 2010 NCAA Tournament as the No. 9 overall seed and winners of their last 15 matches ... UT is seeded in the Austin Region along with No. 1 Florida, No. 8 Illinois and No. 16 Purdue …Texas is making its 27th tourney appearance which ties for seventh-best nationally ... The Horns own a 58-25 all-time mark in the tourney and are a perfect 23-0 in NCAA First Round matches.

UT ranks No. 17 in the NCAA in kills with 14.34 kills per-set ... junior middle blocker Rachael Adams ranks No. 1 nationally with her .436 hitting percentage, while senior middle blocker Jennifer Doris holds the No. 3 spot with her .427 attack mark.
THE SENIOR CLASS
This year’s senior class has led Texas to a 108-15 mark in their four seasons, while posting a 74-6 record in Big 12 play … the class has led the Horns to a pair of NCAA Regional Finals, one NCAA Semifinal, one NCAA Championship match and three straight Big 12 Conference titles … the senior class is the winningest class in the history of UT Volleyball with its .878 career winning percentage.
LONE STAR STATE DOMINANCE
Since head coach Jerritt Elliott arrived in Austin, the Longhorns have emerged as the dominant volleyball program in the state of Texas ... the Longhorns have posted a 78-8 (.907) record against in-state opponents during the Elliott era, including an 20-0 mark against Texas Tech and an 19-1 mark against Baylor ... before Texas’ loss to Texas A&M on Sept. 16, 2010, UT had won 47-straight matches versus in-state foes with the streak dating back to Oct. 16, 2004.
KOCHER BACK AT THE HELM
Junior setter Michelle Kocher’s career at Texas has been a self-described rollercoaster and she is back on the ascent since taking over for an injured Hannah Allison on Oct. 16 ... since taking the reins, Kocher has led the Horns to a .342 team hitting percentage and is averaging 13.71 assists and 2.36 digs per-set and led UT to a 12-0 record ... Kocher was a full-time starter in 2008 and won Big 12 Freshman of the Year honors en route to leading Texas to the NCAA Semifinals and joined the lineup in UT’s 6-2 system midseason in 2009 to help the Horns to the NCAA Finals ... as a starter, Kocher owns a career record of 47-4 and UT has not lost a match she has started since the 2008 NCAA Semifinals.
STREAKING HORNS
Texas is currently riding its longest winning streak of the season with its 15-match run ... the Longhorns are also riding a 25-match home winning streak against Big 12 Conference foes, which dates back to Nov. 1, 2008.
