Hey Y'all, It was another exciting week in Longhorn sports! This past week, we had two away games, which made for a very busy week. On Wednesday, we drove an hour and a half to Waco to take on Baylor. Defense, transition plays and some key blocks really sparked the team in our three-set victory. Over the weekend, we traveled to Ames to play a very good Iowa State team. Going into the match, we knew it was going to be a battle. Coach (Jerritt Elliott) kept telling us that we would have to grovel for each and every point, which ended up being the truth. The three-set victory came with two very close sets. The first two sets went to scores of 29-27 and 28-26. The match was a true test of our composure, and showed that we are able to stay steady and perform in crunch time. With the NCAA tournament just three weeks away, we are working on staying consistent, playing good defense and taking each match one set at a time. Come out and see us take on Texas Tech at Gregory Gym this Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Then you can follow us on the web when we travel to Kansas State this Saturday.
