Volleyball fact attack: What's your favorite sports movie?
Throughout the 2006 season, the Texas Volleyball team will answer some quick questions posed by TexasSports.com, allowing fans some insight into the unique individuals that make up the eighth-ranked Longhorns. This week the players reveal their favorite sports movie.
Alyson Jennings: My favorite is "Sandlot" because I got it for Christmas one year, and I would watch it all day everyday.
Lauren Paolini: I like "Remember the Titans" because Denzel Washington is my favorite actor.
Heather Kisner: I would say "Miracle" is my favorite sports movie. I really enjoyed it.
Ashley Engle: "Dodgeball" is my favorite because I think I might have a future in dodgeball once volleyball is over.
Jen Christian: My favorite is "Tin Cup," in combination with "Caddyshack." Kevin Costner is amazing in "Tin Cup," and I'm a big fan of Bill Murray in "Caddyshack."
Destinee Hooker: My favorite sports movie is "Love and Basketball," because when the movie came out I was playing basketball, and I've known every line of that movie ever since.
Ruthann Fiest: My favorite is "Remember the Titans." I love it, and I cry every time I see it. I also like "Mighty Ducks" because it has Joshua Jackson in it, and I'm a big fan of his.
Kiley Hall: Ever since I was little, I've really liked the soccer movie "Big Green." There's this little goat that is the mascot, and the coach that loses in the end has to kiss the goat.
Jenny Andrew: My favorite is "Miracle." I remember seeing it one of the first nights it came out. It's one of those movies I can watch on repeat.
Dariam Acevedo: I like "Major League" because I think it's really funny.
Jennifer Todd: I would say my favorite is "Love and Basketball" because we as college students can relate to it.
Michelle Moriarty: "Stick It" is one of my favorites because Alyson and I got our handshake from it. I also really like "Rookie of the Year" and "Talladega Nights."
Brandy Magee: I like "Remember the Titans" because it's inspirational and it's funny.
