The Longhorns are ranked No. 10 in the current AVCA Division I Coaches Top 25 Poll (Oct. 10)  ... Texas has now been ranked in the AVCA Top 25 for 118 consecutive weeks, dating back to 2004 ... UT opponents in the poll include No. 8 Penn State, No. 13 Florida, No. 14 Minnesota, No. 15 Iowa State, No. 19 Pepperdine and No. 22 Oklahoma.                       

Texas holds the No. 11 spot in the most recent Volleyball Magazine Poll (Oct. 4) ...  the only Big 12 foe in the poll is No. 15 Iowa State ... four of UT's non-conference opponents are ranked (No. 9 Penn State, No. 12 Florida, No. 14 Minnesota, No. 19 Pepperdine and No. 20 Oklahoma). 

Texas extended its home winning streak to 23 matches as it downed Texas Tech, 3-0 on Wednesday night ... sophomore outside hitter Bailey Webster led the charge with 11 kills to headline a Horns' team that hit .323 and registered a season-best nine aces. 

Senior middle blocker Rachael Adams has been named a Top 10 finalist for the 2011 Lowe's Senior CLASS Award ... to be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence - community, classroom, character and competition. 

After  a slow start to her sophomore campaign, opposite hitter Bailey Webster has come on strong for the Horns ... Webster hit .210 and averaged 1.74 kills in UT's first eight matches, but has shined in her last seven outings, hitting .395 with 2.73 kills per-set.  

In its Big 12 Conference matches, Texas has shined, hitting a league best .287, while limited opponents to the league's second-lowest hitting mark (.187) ... the Horns rank second in the Big 12 with 1.16 service aces per-set and third with 14.16 kills per-set ... sophomore Bailey Webster ranks second with a .374 attack mark, while senior Rachael Adams ranks third with a .366 hitting percentage ... sophomore Sarah Palmer's 0.32 service aces per-set rank third in the Big 12. 

In 16 years of Big 12 Conference play the Longhorns own a 233-69 (.772) mark in league action ... Texas' all-time Big 12 record ranks second to only Nebraska ... during head coach Jerritt Elliott's 10-year tenure, Texas has posted a 158-46 (.775) record against Big 12 foes ... the Longhorns' 19-1 record in 2007 and 2009 are their best marks since the inception of the league.
