Paolini has recorded three error-free matches so far in Big 12 action ... junior All-America outside hitter Destinee Hooker ranks sixth in the league with a .374 attack mark, while leading the Big 12 with 5.33 points and 4.62 kills per-set.

•  Junior All-America outside hitter Destinee Hooker and freshman setter Michelle Kocher have been named the Big 12 Conference Player and Rookie of the Week for the second straight week (9/29 & 10/6) after leading the Horns to wins over Oklahoma and No. 17 Kansas State ...  the award is the third of the season for Hooker and the seventh of her career, while Kocher earns her second career honor ... Hooker averaged 5.00 kills and 5.57 points per-set for the week, while hitting at a .351 clip and leading UT to a pair of wins ... Kocher paced the Longhorns' offense to a .376 attack mark in its Big 12 victories last week, while averaging 13.57 assists and 2.71 digs per-set. 

•  Senior middle blocker Lauren Paolini has shined in Texas' six Big 12 Conference matches ... Paolini has only committed four hitting errors in five Big 12 matches ... she is hitting a Big 12-best .460 on the year and a league-best .567 in conference matches ... she committed zero errors and hit at an .800 clip against Nebraska (9/20), recorded zero miscues, while hitting .600 at Kansas (9/27) and went error-free and hit 1.000 against No. 17 Kansas State (10/4).

•  Junior libero Heather Kisner had some big shoes to fill in 2008, stepping into the UT libero spot that was held by Alyson Jennings for four years ... Kisner has responded well, averaging 4.46 digs per-set and 4.57 digs per-set in league play to spearhead the Texas defense ... the Sugar Land, Texas, native ranks third in the Big 12 in digs per-set.
