A message from Women's Athletics Director Chris Plonsky
When our football game for this Saturday at Colorado was picked up by Fox Sports Net television for a 6 p.m. Central kick, we immediately began talks with Kansas State to see if we could move up the start time of Saturday night's home volleyball match. To give our fan base the opportunity to enjoy both events, we did not want the volleyball match to conflict with football. Unfortunately, after several discussions, we could not reach an agreement.

With the large number of UT Athletics activities going on Saturday, including the Marathon Kids kick-off event which many of our student-athletes participate in as volunteers, we are forced to have the volleyball match overlap with the Texas-Colorado football game.

The Texas-Kansas State volleyball match at Gregory Gym will begin as originally scheduled at 6:30 p.m. Central. We apologize for the overlap, and we do hope to see another great home crowd at Gregory Gym on Saturday night.
