• Junior outside hitter Destinee Hooker and freshman setter Michelle Kocher were named the Big 12 Conference Player and Rookie of the Week (9/29) after leading the Longhorns to victories over Iowa State and Kansas last week ... the award is the sixth weekly honor of Hooker's career and the first for Kocher ... Hooker registered 5.57 kill per-set, while hitting .464 last week ... Kocher averaged 10.86 assists per-set and led UT to a .345 attack mark.

• In the most recent release of the NCAA Statistics (Sept. 28), the Longhorns rank fifth on the national charts in hitting with their .315 attack mark ... Texas ranks No. 17 in blocks per-set with 2.72 ... senior All-America middle blocker Lauren Paolini ranks No. 4 nationally in hitting percentage with a .446 attack mark. ... junior All-America opposite hitter Ashley Engle holds the No. 26 position with 0.50 aces per-set ... junior All-America outside hitter Destinee Hooker ranks 25th in the NCAA with 4.14 kills per-set.

•  Senior middle blocker Lauren Paolini has shined in Texas' four Big 12 Conference matches ... committing zero errors and hitting at an .800 clip against Nebraska (9/20) and recording zero miscues, while hitting .600 at Kansas (9/27) ... Paolini's has only committed three hitting errors in four Big 12 matches ... she is hitting a Big 12-best .443 on the year and a league-best .551 in conference matches.
 
•  The Horns' current 19-match home winning streak is the third-best in school history and spans from Sept. 7, 2007 to present ... the Longhorns; regular-season winning streak of 21 matches was snapped against Stanford on Aug. 31, but it stands as the third-longest streak in UT history.
