The Longhorns are ranked No. 13 in the most recent AVCA Division I Coaches Poll (Sept. 27) ... UT fell out of the Top 10 on Sept. 20 for the first time in 62 straight weeks ... Texas has now been ranked in the AVCA Top 25 for 100 consecutive weeks, dating back to 2004 ... Texas fell out of the top five on Sept. 13, snapping its 34-week streak in the top-five ... FAUCETTE COMES TO LIFE, CLAIMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS
Senior outside hitter Juliann Faucette anchored Texas' attack last week as it downed Missouri, 3-1 (Sept. 22) ... she averaged 6.62 points, 5.50 kills and 2.25 digs per-set on the week and claimed Big 12 Player of the Week honors ... she registered a season-best 22 kills in the Horns' win ... she added nine digs, three service aces, three blocks and even added two assists, while hitting .280 on a career-high 50 attempts.
ADAMS ANCHORING THE MIDDLE
Junior middle blocker Rachael Adams has continued to grow as a go-to player for Texas in 2010 ... she leads Texas in hitting percentage with a .377 mark, while ranking third in the Big 12 ... her 1.14 blocks per-set lead the Horns and rank sixth-best in the league ... Adams ranks second on the club with 2.51 kills per-set ... she began her hot streak at No. 4 Florida and in her last four matches she is averaging 3.20 kills and 1.40 blocks per-set, while hitting at a team-high .376 clip.
TOUGH ROW TO HOE
Texas has been no stranger to tough competition in 2010 ... following Texas' matches with No. 9 Iowa State and No. 3 Nebraska this week, the Horns will have played five of their first 13 matches against teams ranked in the Top 10 and six against Top 25 competition.
FAUCETTE AND DORIS IN THE UT RECORD BOOKS
The senior tandem of Juliann Faucette and Jennifer Doris is making its mark on the UT career record books ... Faucette ranks ninth all-time at UT with 1,240 kills and holds the No. 15 spot with her career .281 hitting percentage ... Faucette's 1,435 career points rank 16th all-time among Longhorns ... Doris is leaving her mark in the blocking books, ranking 15th with 252 block assists and 20th with 296 total blocks.
TEXAS DEALING ACES
The most productive part of the Longhorns game this season has been serving as they have averaged 1.66 service aces per-set ... Texas ranks No. 1 in the Big 12 in aces per-set and is a perfect 7-0 and when registering more service aces than its opponents ... senior outside hitter Juliann Faucette is UT's best weapon from behind the service stripe and she ranks second in the Big 12 with 0.47 aces per-set, while freshman setter Hannah Allison ranks sixth with 0.32 aces per-set.
