Texas' No. 2 preseason ranking was its highest ranking in the AVCA poll since UT finished the 1995 season ranked second ... UT has now been ranked in the Top 10 for 48 straight weeks ... Texas is 9-0 on the season with eight of its wins coming against ranked opponents ... Texas' season-opening streak of eight wins against ranked opponents was the longest in program history, while the seven straight matches against ranked opponents tied a UT record set in 1995 ... the Horns have defeated No. 4 Hawaii, No. 6 Nebraska, No. 10 Iowa State, No. 10 California, No. 15 San Diego, No. 19 Saint Louis, No. 23 Long Beach State and No. 24 Baylor in 2009.

In 14 years of Big 12 Conference play the Longhorns own a 196-65 (.751) mark in league action ...
