Texas holds the No. 11 spot in the most recent Volleyball Magazine Poll (Sept. 20) ...  the only Big 12 foe in the poll is No. 16 Iowa State ... four of UT's non-conference opponents are ranked (No. 4 Florida, No. 7 Penn State, No. 10 Minnesota and No. 20 Pepperdine).

The Horns are currently riding a 25-match home winning streak against Big 12 Conference foes, which dates back to Nov. 1, 2008.

In 15 years of Big 12 Conference play the Longhorns own a 229-68 (.771) mark in league action ... Texas' all-time Big 12 record ranks second to only Nebraska ... during head coach Jerritt Elliott's 10-year tenure, Texas has posted a 154-45 (.774) record against Big 12 foes ... the Longhorns' 19-1 record in 2007 and 2009 are their best marks since the inception of the league.

In Texas' final non-conference matchup, the Horns rolled past a previously unbeaten TCU squad, 3-0 in Fort Worth ... senior middle blocker Rachael Adams headlined the Horns' offense with 11 kills on .471 hitting in the win, while sophomore opposite hitter Bailey Webster recorded nine kills and hit at a .692 clip.

Through Texas' first nine matches senior middle blocker Rachael Adams is leading the way for the Longhorns ... the All-American ranks fifth in the Big 12 with her .373 hitting percentage and first in the Big 12 with 1.59 blocks per-set ... she averaged 1.80 blocks per-set at the Nike Big Four Classic (Sept. 9-10) and went on to win Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week honors.

Freshman outside hitter Khat Bell shined for Texas in its three victories at the 2011 Texas Invitational (Sept. 16-17) ... she headlined the Horns' attack with a .359 hitting percentage and added 4.30 points, 3.40 kills and 2.20 digs per-set ... she also led UT with a team-best six service aces .... Bell's stellar performance landed her Texas Invitational Most Valuable Player accolades and Big 12 Freshman of the Week honors on Sept. 19.
