TEXAS SNAPS LOSING SKID
The Longhorns snapped their first three-match losing streak in seven seasons with its 3-0 sweep of Baylor in their Big 12 home opener on Sept. 18 ... junior middle blocker Rachael Adams led all players with 10 kills, committing just one error on 18 swings, posting a .500 attack mark and adding four blocks.
ADAMS LEADING THE WAY
Junior middle blocker Rachael Adams has continued to grow as a go-to player for Texas in 2010 ... she leads Texas in hitting percentage with a .359 mark, while ranking sixth in the Big 12 ... her 1.09 blocks per-set lead the Horns and rank 10th-best in the league ... Adams ranks second on the club with 2.42 kills per-set ... the Cincinnati, Ohio, native began her hot streak in Texas' 3-2 loss to No. 4 Florida (Sept. 11), connecting for a career-best 14 kills on .455 hitting en route to earning Nike Big Four Classic All-Tournament Team honors.
