Every week throughout the 2004 season, the Texas volleyball team will all respond to a question posed to them by TexasSports.com.
With a team of 12 volleyball players from mostly warm-weather locales, is it any surprise that nine responded with the beach as their favorite places to vacation?
Lauren Galler: The Cayman Islands because I went there on my senior trip when I was in high school. It was just my best friend and me and we had a blast.
Dariam Acevedo: Home! The southeast side of Puerto Rico is where I visit when I'm home. I'm not much of a traveler.
Leticia Armstrong: Elkart, Indiana. I just love going home and seeing my mother.
Bethany Howden: It depends. If I'm in a beach mood, then I love the Bahamas. If I'm in a mountain mood, then Colorado.
Jen Christian: Waikiki Beach in Honolulu. My family goes there every summer. We sit on the beach, stay up late and sleep in all day.
Brandy Magee: Maui because the beaches are really nice and you can sit there and relax in the sun and the nice weather.
Jessica Curtis: I love Maui. It's beautiful, it's tropical and the weather is perfect. I wouldn't want to live there, but it's a great place to relax.
Alyson Jennings: St. Thomas. It's so pretty there! I went parasailing there once and it was the coolest experience I've had.
Jenny Andrew: The Grand Canyon. Jen (Christian) and I took a trip there last summer and it was one of the most gorgeous things I've ever seen.
Michelle Moriarty: Hawaii. The place I stayed with my family ñ the Grand Wailea ñ was the nicest place I've ever stayed at and the beaches were amazing.
Mira Topic: The beaches in Croatia! I always go to Split because it's sunny, beautiful and warm and the [Adriatic Sea] is so nice.
