Volleyball fact attack: Austin favorites
Throughout the 2006 season, Volleyball will answer some quick questions posed by TexasSports.com, allowing fans some insight into the unique individuals that make up the fifth-ranked Longhorns. This week, the players reveal their favorite places in Austin, Texas. Dariam Acevedo: I love Sunday brunch at Red River Café. Jenny Andrew: Going to Zilker Park and the Austin City Limits music festival (ACL) are really fun. Leticia Armstrong: I just found the best soul food in Austin at a place called Hoovers. Jen Christian: I like going to Lake Travis to lay out. Ashley Engle: So far, I really like Hula Hut. RuthAnn Fiest: I really enjoy going to Barton Springs during the summer. Kiley Hall: I like going out on boats on Lake Travis and eating at Hula Hut. Destinee Hooker: I like to shop 'til I drop. Diesel and Forever 21 at Barton Creek Mall are some of my favorites. Alyson Jennings: I love to lay out at Lake Travis, and it's always really fun to go out on a boat or jet skis there. Heather Kisner: I love to go wakeboarding at the lake. Michelle Moriarty: The live music scene here is great, especially anything country. Lauren Paolini: Houlihan's and Kenichi are some of my favorite places to go out to eat. Jennifer Todd: My bed is definitely my favorite place.
