2008 NCAA Volleyball Austin Regional
· Friday, Dec. 12: Semifinal #1 starts at 4:30 p.m., Semifinal #2 starts at 6:30 p.m., (winners advance to play on Saturday)
· Saturday, Dec. 13: Regional Final starts at 5:30 p.m. (winner advances to NCAA Volleyball Championship in Omaha, NE)
AUSTIN, Texas -- The NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Committee named The University of Texas as one of four regional sites for the 2008 Division I Women's Volleyball Championships in May and tickets are now available for the Dec. 12-13 event at Gregory Gymnasium.
Texas is hosting a regional for the second time in three years as the Longhorns seek to make their third straight regional appearance.
The four 2008 regional sites include: Moby Arena on the campus of Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colo.; Rec Hall at Pennsylvania State University in University Park, Penn.; Bank of America Arena at the University of Washington in Seattle; and Texas. All competition will be played December 12-13.
Previously announced, the finals site for the Division I Women's Volleyball Championship in 2008 is the Qwest Center Omaha on December 18 and 20, and in 2009 the competition will be held at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa, Fla., on December 17 and 19.
