Texas senior All-America outside hitter Destinee Hooker was named Big 12 Player of the Week after leading the Longhorns to victories over No. 15 San Diego and then-No. 23 Long Beach State last week ... the San Antonio, Texas, native hammered out 43 kills, 5.38 kills per-set, 6.38 point per-set and hit at a .347 clip at the Long Beach State Baden Classic last weekend.
