- The Longhorns landed three players on the 2011 Burnt Orange Classic All-Tournament Team ... senior middle blocker Rachael Adams earned tourney most outstanding player honors, while freshman outside hitter Khat Bell and sophomore middle blocker Haley Cameron garnered all-tourney accolades.
- In Texas' season-opening victory over Pepperdine (Aug. 26) the Horns recorded 20.0 team blocks to mark the largest block total by UT since it posted 20.0 against Florida A&M on Sept. 2, 2010.
