Letters from camp: Lauren Galler
Lauren Galler, Sophomore outside hitter Hey Everyone! Preseason camp, so far, has been a lot of hard work, but it has been really fun, too. Being a transfer I have been through preseason before, but this has been a whole new level. A lot more is expected of me and everyone else, and we are pushing to be the best. Joining a team with great work ethic and a so much talent has been awesome, and it has made it exciting to come to the gym every day. Aside from volleyball, the freshmen and I have been going to Orientation. One of the most important things they taught us at Orientation was how to properly introduce ourselves, so here it is: Hi my name is Lauren Galler, I am from Austin, Texas, I play volleyball, and I am proud to be a Lady Longhorn. HOOK 'EM! We capped off Orientation with skits preformed by each team. We did a part from the movie "Miracle" (one of head coach Jerritt Elliott's favorite movies). Although we didn't have much time to practice in between two-a-day practices, we pulled it off and had a lot of fun performing it for the rest of the athletes. Finally, getting to know all of my new teammates this preseason has been the best part. Whether its in Longhorn Dining Hall at dinner or in the ice baths (which we love!), we are always having a good time and enjoying each other's company. I can't wait to see what this team will accomplish, and I hope you are all there to share it with us. Hook 'Em!
