AUSTIN, Texas -- The University of Texas volleyball program invites UT fans and volleyball alumni to join the Longhorns as they open the doors to Gregory Gym this weekend for the Texas Volleyball FanFest slated for Saturday, Aug. 19.
The doors open at 3 p.m. CDT, and the festivities kick off at 3:30 p.m. CDT with a free children's volleyball clinic conducted by UT players and coaches. The clinic is open to all youth in the eighth grade or below.
Following the clinic, fans will be able to take a tour of the Texas Volleyball locker rooms before taking in a volleyball alumni match scheduled for 5 p.m. Fans also have the chance to register to win autographed volleyballs, posters and Texas Volleyball jerseys throughout the event.
After the alumni match, there is a meet-and-greet barbeque dinner with the volleyball team and coaches. Due to a tremendous response to the dinner (over 500 expected), UT Athletics cannot accept any more reservations, as the capacity for this dinner has been reached.
