Destinee Hooker, Team USA advance to gold-medal match

LONDON - Continuing her torrid run through the Olympic tournament, former UT outside hitter Destinee Hooker led the United States Women's Volleyball Team with a match-high 21 kills (7.00 kills per set average) and 24 points Thursday in a 3-0 sweep of Korea in a semifinal match (25-20, 25-22, 25-22). The win secures a spot in Saturday's gold-medal match against either Brazil or Japan in a 12:30 p.m. Central Time start. Hooker terminated 21 kills in 33 attempts for a 60.61% efficiency rating to lead the U.S.
