Volleyball to host pair with Italian National Team

AUSTIN, Texas - The Texas Volleyball team has added a pair of matches against the Italian National Team to its 2009 home calendar. The Longhorns will take on the Italians on Sept. 11 and 12 at Gregory Gymnasium with both matches starting at 6:30 p.m. The matches will mark the Horns' first home matches of the season. Texas finished the 2008 season with a 29-4 record and notched their first NCAA Semifinal berth since 1995. The Longhorns return nine letterwinners, including six starters, while adding the nation's fifth-best recruiting class.
