Volleyball hosts home tournament Saturday
AUSTIN, Texas -- Jerritt Elliott’s Texas volleyball team will get its spring season rolling this weekend when it hosts an eight-team tournament at UT’s Gregory Gym. The Longhorns, who went 26-5 last season, advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16 and finished the year ranked 11th nationally, will welcome Houston, LSU, New Mexico State, Texas A&M, TCU, Rice and North Texas to Austin on Saturday, April 9. The teams will play a mini-round robin tournament on three courts at Gregory Gym and admission is free. Participating teams will play two games to 30 points and one game to 15, as time allows.
