AUSTIN, Texas -- After playing its way into the NCAA Semifinals for the first time during head coach Jerritt Elliott's tenure, the Texas Volleyball team is set to begin its four-event spring calendar.

With 12 returning letterwinners from a team that finished the 2008 campaign ranked No. 4 nationally, the Texas Volleyball team is ready for a challenging spring schedule in preparation for a run at the national title in 2009.

After a 27-4 season that earned the team its best finish since 1995, the Longhorns have a lot to look forward to in 2009. Texas returns seven players with starting experience, including three All-Americans, who will be joined by early enrollee and No. 1 national recruit Bailey Webster.

The Longhorns will spend three weekends of its six-week spring team training session facing top national competition.
