Trinity Broadcasting Network features Women's Track and Field coach Bev Kearney
AUSTIN, Texas -- University of Texas head women's track and field coach Bev Kearney was a guest panelist on the world's only live Christian television talk show -- "Praise the Lord" -- on the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN). Gospel legend Cece Winans conducted the interview on the show that has been broadcast nightly on TBN for over 30 years. In the interview, Kearney discusses her successful, 15-year coaching career, and her journey to recovery after a December 2002 automobile accident. The profile, which aired on Friday, March 2, can be seen online at TBN's Web site. Kearney and the 2007 Texas track and field team are preparing for the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Fayetteville, Ark., from Friday to Saturday, March 9-10. The Longhorns look to defend their 2006 indoor national title with three automatic qualifiers -- defending National Champion senior Michelle Carter (shot put) and sophomore Destinee Hooker (high jump) and second-year sprinter Alexandria Anderson (60-meter dash) alongside a number of provisional qualifiers.
