Kearney set to receive Auburn's Lifetime Achievement Award
AUBURN, Ala. -- Texas women's track and field coach Bev Kearney will be recognized by her alma mater Auburn University as a recipient of the 2008 Lifetime Achievement Awards on Saturday, March 1, 2008. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Hall of Fame on Dec. 17, 2007, has totaled seven NCAA National Championships in her 22 years as a head coach (six at Texas) and one at the University of Florida. During her coaching career, her teams have captured 22 league titles (11 Big 12 Conference, eight Southwest Conference and three Southeastern Conference) and recorded an undefeated mark in four years of competition in the Southwest Conference (1993-1996). |
