Last time out ... UT turned in a strong season-opening performance at the competitive Crimson Tide Indoor Opener in Birmingham, Ala.  Texas took home five individual victories in addition to winning the 4x400-meter relay, with five Longhorns turning in personal-best marks in their respective events: Morgan Snow (60-meter, 60-meter hurdles), Mia Behm (Mile), Danielle Dowie (400-meter, 200-meter), Katie Hoaldridge (800-meter) and Chamique Francis (200-meter).

Dowie earns Big 12 honors ... Danielle Dowie earned her first Big 12 Athlete of the Week honor for competitions Jan. 11-13 after picking up a pair of individual victories in the 200-meter and the 400-meter at the Crimson Tide Indoor Opener.  Dowie's 400-meter time of 53.95 was not only a career-best, but is also the top time in the nation in the event thus far in 2013.  She also ran the second leg and the fastest split for the Longhorns' first-place 4x400-meter relay.

National leaders ... Eight of Texas' early-season marks currently rank among the top-10 nationally in 2013.
