Women's Track and Field concludes competiton at USA Championships

EUGENE, Ore. -- The final day of the U.S. Championships was highlighted by a fourth place finish from Texas Ex Bianca Knight in the 200m along with Sanya Richards-Ross who finished seventh. Knight ran a personal best time of 22.35 seconds and just missing qualifying for the World Championships by one place. Richards-Ross posted a time of 22.68 seconds. She will still compete at the world meet in the 400m as she is the reigning world champion in the event. Texas athletes who qualified for the world championships this weekend were Sanya Richards-Ross, Marshevet Myers, and Michelle Carter. The World Championships will be held in Daegu, Korea August 27- September 4. Shanay Briscoe and Briana Nelson will compete at the Pan American Junior Games, held July 22-24 in Miramar, Florida.
