Women's Track and Field's 4x400m places at NCAA Indoors for fifth-straight year

Final DI Women's Indoor Results FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- The University of Texas Women's 4x400m relay finished seventh at the 2010 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships Saturday evening at Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Ark. The Longhorn quartet of sophomores Judy Nwosu, Stacey-Ann Smith, junior Chantel Malone and sophomore Angele Cooper crossed the line in a season-best time of 3:34.48 to pick up two points for the Horns. Texas placed in the event at the national indoor meet for the fifth-straight year. Cooper, Malone and Nwosu earned their third career All-American honors while Smith picked up her first. Redshirt junior Betzy Jimenez also competed on the second day placing 14th in her first NCAA Indoor meet, finishing the 3,000m in 9:21.18. Oregon won the women's title with 61 points followed by Tennessee (36 points), LSU (35 points), Florida (33 points) and Texas A&M (31 points). Texas finished the meet with four points for 42nd. The Longhorns open the 2010 Outdoor season at the USC Trojan Invitational on March 19-20 in Los Angeles, Calif.
