Behm leads No. 15 Women's Track and Field at Texas A&M Invitational
Jan. 16, 2010 Complete Results COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- The No. 15 University of Texas Women's Track and Field team picked up four individual victories Saturday at the Texas A&M Invitational in College Station while four Horns recorded personal-best marks in their respective events. Sophomore Mia Behm led the way with a first place finish in the mile in a personal-best time of 4:59.42. It was the first sub-five minute mile for the Tyler, Texas native. Sophomore Laleh Mojtabaeezamani also finished in the top five with a time of 5:14.38 for fourth. In the 1,000m, redshirt junior Betzy Jimenez clocked a personal-best and Gilliam Indoor record time of 2:49.49 for first place. Sophomore high jumper Victoria Lucas placed first with a mark of 5-7.75 (1.72m). Lucas and two other competitors tied at 5-7.75 but Lucas didn't miss an attempt all day, giving her the win. Texas also picked up in a win in the pole vault as sophomore Jessica Doyle cleared 12-0.5 (3.67m) for first. On the track, senior Asia Myrland placed second in the 3,000m with a personal-best time of 9:51.27 while senior Allison Mendez crossed the line in a career-best 10:20.47 for ninth. Additionally, freshman Katie Hoaldridge placed 10th in the 200m (2:19.99). The Longhorns return to the track Saturday, January 23, at the Texas/Texas A&M Dual Meet in College Station.
