Outdoor (Sophomore):
· Garnered All-Big 12 honors in shot put, recording a sixth place finish at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships with a throw of 49-8.4 (15.15m).
· Posted a mark of 49-4.25 (15.04m) in shot put at the NCAA Outdoor Regional, good for 17th place.
· Set a PR in javelin with a mark of 95-11 (29.24m), placing 12th at the Victor Lopez Bayou Classic.
· Finished 20th at Big 12 Outdoors in discus with a throw of 132-8 (40.45m).

2008-09
Outdoor (Freshman):
· Placed fifth in the shot put at the U.S. Junior Championships with a season-best throw of 48-6 (14.78m).
· Posted regional qualifying marks in the shot put in all but one meet during the outdoor season.
· Finished 23rd in the shot put at NCAA Midwest Regionals with throw of 26-8.25 (14.23m).
· Took 15th in the shot put at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships (47-8, 14.53m) ... also placed 20th in the discus with a throw of 123-3 (37.58m).
· Recorded a second-place finish in the shot put (47-0.25, 14.33m) at the Texas Invite.
· Finished fifth in the discus at the Rice Bayou Classic with a personal-best throw of 139-0 (42.37m).

· Earned All-Big 12 Honors at the 2009 Big 12 Indoor Championship with a seventh place finish in the shot put ... recorded a personal-best throw of 49-3 (15.01m) ... also competed in the weight throw, finishing 22nd with a toss of 44-4 (13.51m).
· Posted highest shot put finish of the season with a throw of 47-1.50 (14.36m) for second.
· Finished fifth in the shot put with a throw of 47-9 (14.55m) at the Texas A&M Invitational ... also recorded a personal-best mark in the weight throw of 46-10.25 (14.28m) for 16th.
PRIOR TO TEXAS
· Texas UIL shot put state championship after recording a personal-best toss of 43-1.5 (13.14m) ... also earned third-place honors in the discus with a 132-0 (40.25m) throw.
· Also won both events at the 2007 Region 4-4A championship, tossing 122-8 (37.40m) in the discus and 42-11 (13.08m) in the shot put.
· Competed for state-power Pflugerville Connally High School basketball and volleyball teams, earning 2007 All-central Texas Volleyball Team honors.
PERSONAL
Born Feb. 27, 1990 in Austin, Texas to Karen and Tommy Van Dyke ... one younger brother Clifton ... was Academic All-District selection all four years of high school and was the John B. Connally Athlete of the Year as a freshman, sophomore, junior and senior.
