Scouting Orville:
Sprinter who transitioned to the hurdles before being sidelined with an injury early in the 2007 season... returns to the starting blocks after shattering her femur bone during practice in March.
2006-07
Outdoor (Sophomore):
· Redshirted the remainder of the 2007 season after injuring her leg during practice.
· Finished third in the 400-meter hurdles (1:00.99) at the Bayou Classic.
· Ran 12.47 in the 100-meter dash for eighth and 25.36 in the 200 for 11th in opening the season at the UNLV Invitational.
Indoor (Sophomore):
· Ran a season-best 25.64 in the 200-meter dash and 58.39 in the 400 in the preliminary rounds of the Tyson Invitational.
· Second leg of the runner-up 4x400 meter relay (3:46.79) at the Houston Indoor Opener... also competed in the open 400 (58.67).
· Took 13th in 26.11 in the 200 at the Leonard Hilton Memorial... also placed eighth in the 400 in 59.02.
2005-06
Outdoor (Freshman):
· Ran lead leg of first-place 4x400m relay (3:43.02) at the Hurricane Invitational and took sixth in the 400m (55.85).
· Placed sixth in the 100m (12.06) at the Texas Invitational.
Indoor (Freshman):
· Competed in the preliminary round of the 200m (24.94b) and the 400m (57.04b) at the Big 12 Championships.
· Placed fifth in the 200m (25.34) at the Houston Indoor Opener.
· Took eighth in the 200m (25.43) at the Hilton Memorial and the 400m (57.83) at the Houston Indoor Opener.
PRIOR TO TEXAS
· High school All-American in the 4x200 and 4x400 relays and member of three-time regional and district championship teams at Westbury High School.
· Four-time Junior Olympics participant and member of Wings Track Club.
