• Claimed a victory and a personal best in the discus at the Victor Lopez Classic with a throw of 175-0 (53.34m)

• Threw 47-11.75 (14.62m) to place eighth at the Don Kirby Invitational

2009-10
Outdoor (Sohphomore):
· Garnered All-Big 12 honors after recording a seventh-place finish with a mark of 160-3 (48.84m) in discus at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships.
· Threw a personal-best 167-8 (51.12m) and took seventh after being seeded 36th in discus in NCAA Outdoor prelims.
· Posted a mark of 147-10 (45.06m) in discus at NCAA Outdoors, good for 21st place overall.
· Placed first in discus at the Michael Johnson Invite with a throw of 152-11 (46.60m).
Indoor (Sophomore):
· Threw a personal-best in the weight throw of 29-5.25 (8.97m) at the Texas A&M Dual meet, finishing in fifth place.
· Recorded a season-best 42-11.75 (13.10m) mark in the shotput to finish sicth in the Leonard Hilton Memorial.
2008-09
Outdoor (Freshman):
· Finished 12th at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships in the discus with a throw of 149-3 (45.51m), just one inch shy of her personal best.
· Recorded a fourth-place effort in the discus at the Texas Invite with a toss of 142-6 (43.44m).
· Set a discus PR at the Texas Twilight with a mark of 149-4 (45.53m).
· Posted three top 10 finishes in the shot put and recorded a personal-best of 42-9.50 (13.04m) at the Rice Bayou Classic.
Indoor (Freshman):
· Recorded highest shot put finish of the season at the Houston All-Comer's meet with a personal-best throw of 44-1.50 (13.45m) for fourth place.
· Notched a 17th place effort at the Big 12 Indoor Championships in the shot put with a toss of 43-8.5 (13.32m).
PRIOR TO TEXAS
· Region 19-5A qualifier in the shot put and discus.
· Broke her high school's discus record with a throw of 140 feet ... the record had stood for seven years.
· Won district champ in discus and second in the shot put.
PERSONAL
Born Dec. 19, 1989 to parents Anwuli and Chinye in Lagos, Nigeria... four siblings - Ozie, Wnalji, Mako and Chidoziem ... sister Ozie competes on the Texas Tech women's track and field team ... graduated Summa Cum Laude from Alief Elsik High School.
