2008-09
Outdoor (Freshman)
· Competed in the 200m, 400m and 4X400m relay during the outdoor season.
· Ran the leadoff leg of the Longhorn's second-place 4X400m relay team at the Big 12 Championships.
· Took sixth place at the USATF Junior Outdoor Championships with a time of 55.46 in the 400m ... came in fifth during the preliminary heat with a time of 54.37.
· Earned her second All-American honor as part of the Longhorns NCAA Outdoor Championship 4x400m relay...ran the leadoff leg to help UT to its first mile-relay title since 2005.
· Booked a personal-best time of 54.28 in the 400m at NCAA Midwest Regionals to just miss advancing to the finals, finishing ninth in the preliminaries.
· Competed in the 200m, 400m and 4x400m relay during the outdoor season.
· Recorded her first NCAA regional-qualifying mark in the 400m at the Texas Invite with a sixth-place time of 54.50.
· Won her first 400m race in the season-opening Black & Gold Challenge ... cruised to a victory in 54.43, her second-fastest mark of the year.
· Set a personal-best in the 200m in a wind-aided time of 24.19 for 20th at the Texas Invite.

Indoor (Freshman):
· Earned the first All-American honor of her career as part of the Longhorns' 4x400m relay that placed sixth at the 2009 NCAA Indoor Championships.
· Garnered two All-Big 12 Honors at the 2009 Big 12 Indoor Championships ... posted a third place effort in the 600-yard run in a time of 1:21.80 ... set the facility record at Gilliam Indoor (Texas A&M) during the prelims with a first-place time of 1:21.63 ... was also part of UT's fourth-place 4x400m relay.

PRIOR TO TEXAS
· Four-year letterwinner in track and field for head coach Sharon Robbins at Manor High School ... also lettered in basketball and cross country.
· Captured the Class 4A state title in the 400 as a senior ... also was a member of the third-place 4x100 relay team.
· Broke the 400m Manor HS record as junior.
· Sixth-place finisher at state in the 400m during junior season.
· Placed third in the 400m at the Class 4A state meet as a sophomore.

PERSONAL
Born July 25, 1990, to Matthew and Charity Nwosu in Austin, Texas ... has five siblings - Fortune, Victor, Jessica, Caroline and Joy ... graduated in the top 10 percent of her high school class ... was Academic All-District in basketball and an honor roll member at Manor HS ... plans on majoring in Kinesiology.
