Members of the Texas women’s tennis team recently took time out of their schedules to participate with several other Austin-based organizations to serve meals at the Royal Palms community area in southeast Austin.
On Sept. 8, the players joined scout troops from Austin to assist food contributor Mobile Loaves & Fishes to serve meals in a festival-like atmosphere that featured games and live music.
“Our young women understand the importance of giving back to their community and providing a helping hand to those in need,” UT head coach Patty Fendick-McCain said. “We are always eager to serve, and this was another terrific opportunity to join with other organizations to lend a hand."
