DALLAS -- University of Texas senior Mia Marovic (Split, Croatia), junior Petra Dizdar (Split, Croatia) and sophomore Courtney Zauft (San Antonio, Texas) garnered All-Big 12 Conference honors Monday, as announced by the league office. Marovic and Dizdar collected all-conference singles honors, and Marovic teamed with Zauft for an all-league selection in doubles play.
Marovic totaled a 5-2 record at first singles in conference play en route to her second straight All-Big 12 singles selection. Ranked 77th by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), Marovic holds a 19-11 overall singles record this season.
Dizdar, a unanimous selection to the All-Big 12 singles team, collects her third consecutive all-conference singles honor. The 104th-ranked junior compiled an 8-3 mark at second singles in Big 12 play and holds a 21-17 overall singles record.
Zauft, an all-conference doubles honoree with Marovic, picks up her first career All-Big 12 selection. Zauft and Marovic, the nation's 44th-ranked doubles tandem, totaled an impressive 7-1 record at first doubles in Big 12 play this season. Marovic also was an All-Big 12 doubles selection in 2004 when she was paired with Dizdar.
