Women's Tennis lands three on Academic All-Big 12 Team

IRVING, Texas -- Texas senior Sarah Lancaster and juniors Amanda Craddock and Caroline Larsson have earned selections to the 2010 Academic All-Big 12 Conference Women's Tennis Team, the league announced Tuesday. Lancaster, a sport management major, earned a first-team selection for a third consecutive season. Lancaster is one of two student-athletes on the Academic All-Big 12 team with a perfect 4.0 GPA either cumulatively or in her previous two semesters. Larsson, an economics major, earns her second consecutive first-team selection. Craddock, a corporate communication major also earned a first-team selection in her initial season of eligibility for the honor. Nominated by each institution's director of student-athlete support services and the media relations offices, 32 Big 12 women's tennis players were named to the first team, while 12 student-athletes earned second-team recognition. First-team members have maintained a 3.20 minimum grade-point average, either cumulatively or in each of the past two semesters, while second-team members maintained a minimum 3.0 grade-point average. All nominees, except for seniors, must have participated in 60 percent of her team's scheduled matches. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible in their first years of academic residence at their respective schools.
