Volunteer Assistant Coach Ed Carter
Ed Carter is entering his first season as volunteer assistant coach for the Texas women's tennis program in 2004-05. A native of Columbus, Ohio, Carter was a four-year letterwinner at Arizona State where he garnered four consecutive first-team Academic All-America honors (1997-2000) and was recognized as a first-team All-American in 1999. Following his collegiate career, Carter played on the professional circuit and during the off-season trained with Jennifer Capriati, Meghan Shaunessey and Serena Williams. Carter graduated from ASU in 2000 with bachelor of arts degrees in history and political science, and is currently attending The University of Texas School of Law.
