Women's Tennis No. 24 in ITA preseason rankings
AUSTIN, Texas -- Under third-year head coach Patty Fendick-McCain, Texas has earned a No. 24 ranking in the preseason tennis rankings released by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA). The Longhorns return six letterwinners from the 2007 squad that won a share of the Big 12 Conference regular season championship and reached the round of 32 at the NCAA Championship. Texas is led by sophomore Vanja Corovic (Belgrade, Serbia), the 2007 Big 12 Conference Freshman and Newcomer of the Year. UT also returns All-Big 12 singles selection Stephanie Davison, and junior Marija Milic earned All-Big 12 doubles honors last season alongside Corovic. Milic and Corovic garnered a No. 25 preseason doubles ranking from the ITA.
