FORT WORTH, Texas -- Texas junior Vanja Corovic and senior Marija Milic advanced one step closer to the doubles finals Sunday with a narrow doubles quarterfinal victory at the ITA Southwest Regional Championship.
Corovic and Milic outlasted the North Texas duo of Irina Paraschiv and Madura Ranganathan by a 9-8 count in Sunday's quarterfinals to set up a semifinal on Monday against TCU's Macall Harkins and Anna Sydorska.
Corovic was eliminated from the singles quarterfinals after retiring her match against TCU's Harkins while trailing 6-3, 2-0.
