LOS ANGELES -- Texas senior Vanja Corovic and freshman Aeriel Ellis were eliminated from the opening round of the main singles draw Thursday at the ITA All-American Championships. 

Corovic suffered a 6-2, 6-4 defeat to Duke's Ellah Nze in the round of 32, while USC's Danielle Lao dealt Ellis a 7-6 (4), 6-2 defeat. 

Corovic will take on Clemson's Josipa Bek in Friday's consolation round of 16, and Ellis will meet Auburn's Fani Chifchieva.
