Women's Tennis eliminated from pre-qualifying draw at ITA All-American Championship

LOS ANGELES -- Texas opened play in the pre-qualifying doubles draw Saturday at the ITA All-American Championships but its two doubles pairs were unable to stave off elimination from the round of 32. The Texas tandem of junior Krista Damico and freshman Cierra Gaytan-Leach suffered an 8-4 defeat to Harvard's Kristin Norton and Hideko Tachibana. Kansas' Ekatarina Morozova and Erin Wilbert dealt Texas seniors Amanda Craddock and Caroline Larsson an 8-5 defeat in Saturday's opening round. Texas continues play in the ITA All-American Championships on Tuesday, Oct. 5 when Damico opens competition in the qualifying round singles draw. ITA All-American Championship
