Taylor tabbed Big 12 Women's Diver of the Week

UT freshman Maren Taylor earns Big 12 weekly honor after winning two of three events at the Texas Swimming & Diving Hall of Fame Invitational.

IRVING, Texas -- Texas freshman diver Maren Taylor was selected Wednesday as the Big 12 Conference Women's Diver of the Week after winning two of three events at the recent Texas Swimming & Diving Hall of Fame Invitational.

Taylor (Arlington, Va.) captured the 32-diver one-meter event with 304.10 points and claimed the three-meter event, featuring 30 divers, with 313.50 points. Taylor also took second in the 16-diver platform event with 269.70 points. All three marks were season bests.

Taylor and the Longhorns return to action on Thursday, Jan. 7 when they host Auburn at UT's Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center.
