| Coach Scoggin's Perspective... "Last year was a real positive year. We had quite a few people step up and do the hard work necessary to see vast improvement. We lost Ally Hartzell and Katura Horton-Perinchief to graduation and they'll be missed a lot. Having said that, we have four returnees who did a lot of hard work last year and over the summer. I look to see us continuing to help the swimming effort at dual meets and the end of the year in championship competition. I think the returnees are very dedicated and excited about this year. We're a little smaller than usual as far as team size and as far as depth. But they're ready to work hard and I expect really good things out of all four of them." |

| Coach Sterkel's Perspective... "Although we're not as deep in the sprint events as we traditionally have been, we've had some people take some big steps forward. Sarah Wanezek's fifth-place finish at the Olympic Trials solidifies some strength there. We had some people make significant strides last year that put them in a position to where they can be a force this year. You look at Jaclyn Faulkner and Jennifer Robbins who were participating in the NCAAs and taking those steps forward." |

| Coach Sterkel's Perspective... "We have three returnees who will add to the core of the distance group and make it quite strong. We have a solid corps of returning distance-freestyle specialists. They're good but they are going to get even better. Each freshmen coming in this year already has an Olympic qualifying time. We have some depth in the middle distance events. Traditionally, we haven't had quite as much depth there as we do going into this season." |

|
| Coach Walker's Perspective... "The returning crew has improved and they had a great season in terms of performance and improvement, but you throw three freshmen - Lindsey, Diana and Hayley - into the mix and the backstroke becomes our strongest event. All three are capable of scoring at the NCAAs in their freshman year. Last year, we were pretty deep and we are returning almost everyone so we should be real powerful." |

|
| Coach Sterkel's Perspective... "For Elizabeth to score at the NCAAs her freshman year and get that type of experience, we're going to call on her to help lead the way in that department. All three of our returnees in the breaststroke have competed in NCAA events. It's a very young, but experienced group of breaststrokers. There are only a few of them, but they all have the experience to get it done." |

| Erin Wehrmann |

|
Coach Walker's Perspective... "The butterfly is actually the event that has the most upside for us. We came off a fantastic summer in the national events and we have depth and experience in all the events. Katie had a great summer and Ashley made her Olympic cut. Sarah is a proven commodity at the NCAA level. We have Julie Galloway coming in, who has proven herself in the 200 fly. Again, we've got a lot depth and experience in the fly - similar to the backstroke - and has the potential to be a very good event for us."

Coach Sterkel's Perspective... "One of the unique things about this team, and many teams for that matter, is that we have quite a few different swimmers who can fill the role of IM. We have some exceptional 400-meter swimmers. We have Alisa Schuknecht, who had a great summer, we've got some swimmers coming out who we hope will contribute in the IM events as well. Amanda Larence had a breakout swim this summer at Nationals. The experience that they have all gained helps us look pretty good this season."
