Holland, Taylor advance to USA Diving National Championships

MISSION VIEJO, Calif. - Texas rising sophomores Samantha Holland and Maren Taylor won the three-meter synchronized diving event at the USA Diving National Preliminary Zone D meet Friday to earn berths at next month's USA Diving National Championships. Holland (San Antonio) and Taylor (Arlington, Va.) won the three-meter synchro event with 229.56 points. Texas rising sophomores Shelby Cullinan and Diana Wilcox took sixth with 209.76 points. Individually, Taylor won Saturday's one-meter event with 246 points. Taylor and Wilcox are set to compete in the platform diving event on Sunday. The USA Diving National Championships are set for Aug. 10-15 in College Station.
