Yarrison claims three-meter synchro title at USA Spring Nationals
MINNEAPOLIS -- University of Texas senior diver Mary Yarrison teamed up with Abby Johnston to claim the three-meter synchronized diving event Friday evening at the 2008 Speedo USA Diving Spring National Championships. Yarrison (Springfield, Va.) and Johnston totaled 302.10 points in the finals, edging Amanda Miller and Christina Loukas, who totaled 299.10 points. Yarrison and Johnston took bronze in the event for Team USA on April 11 at the FINA Diving Grand Prix in Moscow, Russia. Yarrison also qualified for the individual three-meter diving finals, taking sixth in the quarterfinals at 286.20. Yarrison will compete in the three-meter finals on Saturday afternoon.
