Yarrison captures one-meter diving title at USA Diving Spring Nationals
BOYDS, Md. -- University of Texas junior diver Mary Yarrison took gold in the women's one-meter diving event Wednesday evening at the 2007 Speedo USA Diving Spring National Championships. Yarrison, competing near her hometown of Springfield, Va., captured her first U.S. national title with a winning score of 287.10. "I'm really excited to win something by myself. It has been a while since I've done that," Yarrison told USA Diving. "This is a comfortable place for me to dive." Yarrison took the one-and three-meter events at the 2007 Big 12 Championships. She took honorable mention All-America honors in the one-meter and All-America honors in the three-meter at the 2007 NCAA Championships in Minneapolis.
